Your Guide on the Path to Loving Yourself
Writing a book had always been a dream of mine. I remember sitting at the dinner table with my family eating Chinese food when I opened a fortune that read “You will write a book someday.” I boldly announced to my family that I would indeed write a book. I taped the fortune to my computer screen and continued on with my life and work. I continued my career as a Social Worker, stayed busy with family life, and started a business to offer self-care tools.
Five years later, on June 16th, I turned 50 years old. I had naturally been doing some reflection on what this new phase of midlife would bring. I had continued to dream and remain optimistic. On June 17th, the day after my 50th birthday, I opened my email to find an invitation to write a book!
I said yes and started writing. In The Self-Love Journal I share many of the strategies that I have used personally and professionally to overcome challenges and continue to grow into deeper self-care, self-compassion and self-love.
